THE USE OF methanol-assisted water splitting instead of water splitting has broad application prospects in realizing efficient hydrogen production. Using the strong metal-support interaction between oxophilic MoSe2 component and Pt nanoparticle weakened the weakened adsorption of CO* and enhanced adsorption of H*, resulting in the increased catalytic performance of PT/MOSE2 for overall methanol-assisted water splitting.
