A schematic of the how the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) will add electron accelerator and storage rings to the existing Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory. French and U.S. science agencies have expressed interest in collaborating on accelerator and detector science and technology and the scientific research at the EIC.
