At the trial design stage, by inputting information on treatment stage, cancer type, and experimental and control arm regimens, investigators can utilize the nomogram or web calculator to obtain the predicted DTE status for their trials. For trials predicted to be absent from DTE, investigators may apply conventional designs. Conversely, for trials predicted to exhibit DTE, they can confidently employ alternative designs specifically tailored to address the presence of DTE, given the high positive predictive value of our model.
