The purpose of metal ion disorder is achieved by changing the expression of the iron uptake gene and changing the concentration of available iron in cells. The maleimide compound 5 (MPD) could reduce the biosynthesis of ergosterol, thereby achieving the purpose of cell membrane destruction. MPD could reduce the amount of chitin biosynthesis by inhibiting the activity of chitin synthase, thereby achieving the purpose of cell wall destruction.
