In contrast to classical physics, multi-particle decay is a phenomenon unique to the quantum world. Magnesium-18 exemplifies such an exotic system, positioned far from the dripline. Spitting out proton-pair one after another, unbound Magnesium-18 decays to Neon-16 and then to Oxygen-14 — a chain of events that physicists liken to nesting dolls.
