The study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of Shanghai Children's Medical Center (Approval No. SCMCIRB-K2022037-1) with a patient exemption applied. All patients were examined with echocardiography using GE Vivid E90 and E95 ultrasound systems with M5Sc and 6S transducers. We selected two standard views—the subcostal view of the atrial septum (subAS) and the low parasternal four-chamber view (LPS4C)—to acquire static color Doppler images, as shown in Figure 1. All the static images were blindly reviewed by two senior ultrasound doctors, with those showing a blurred atrial septum excluded. Standard imaging techniques were used for two-dimensional, M-mode, and color Doppler echocardiography in accordance with the recommendations of the American Society of Echocardiography. All patient data were strictly de-identified to protect patient privacy. The original data were stored in the format of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) in the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) database. For the convenience of program processing, the DICOM data were converted into JPEG static images. To enhance the robustness of the model, we augmented the JPEG images with different levels of Gaussian noise, Poisson noise, and pretzel noise.
