The VirtualMultiplexer creates virtual colorations of cancer tissue, similar to photo-based simulations by online generative AI tools.

Similar to generative AI models that create pictures based on a photo, or a textual description of a motive, in the style of different artists, the VirtualMultiplexer produces virtual colorations for specific cellular markers within a tissue. A standard dye routinely performed in cancer pathology, termed hematoxylin/eosin (H/E) staining, serves as its input.
