The entrepreneurial ecosystems approach may not be useful for Africa’s economic growth

Africa already has too many entrepreneurs, with the high self-employment rates associated with lower GDP per capita. So, boosting entrepreneurship would not be effective for Africa’s economic growth. Instead, many African countries need to build more large firms, which are critical for long-term economic development.
