Polyamines and their role in cancer (IMAGE)

While polyamines have known beneficial anti-aging effects in healthy cells, this study reveals how they can lead to upregulation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A2 (eIF5A2). This protein, unlike its eIF5A1 counterpart, facilitates the growth of cancer cells.
