A new open-source artificial intelligence tool improves on existing approaches to biological research. Two members of the research team, doctoral student Sumit Tarafder (at left) and team leader Debswapna Bhattacharya, associate professor of computer science, have worked on it for nearly two years. Another collaborator, alumnus Rahmatullah Roche, '24, (not pictured), did most of the coding.
