Anion-rich solvation in weakly coordination electrolytes enhances PIB stability. (IMAGE)
Caption
FTEP’s weak solvation concentrates FSI- anions in K+ primary solvation shell, forming an anion-derived passivation interphase on anode side. This enables flat K plating with high reversibility, efficient K+ insertion into graphite, and enhances the electrochemical window of electrolyte with aluminum corrosion inhibition.
