Microwave spectroscopy of magnons, phonons and magnon-polarons

Microwave spectroscopy of magnons, phonons and magnon-polarons as a function of magnetic field (x-axis) and frequency (y-axis). Data has been recorded with a vector network analyser. The horizontal lines are caused by phonons, the near-vertical lines by magnons. Hybrid spin-sound excitations (magnon-polarons) are observed in the regions of avoided crossing of vertical and horizontal lines.
