Chiral Scents, Caught by a Sugar Sensor (IMAGE)
Caption
Enantioselective sensing of minimally functionalized chiral VOCs with common recognition layers remains challenging. A chemoresistive sensor based on semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes modified with multichiral and multifunctional substituted monosaccharides displays intriguing chiral preference toward (–)-limonene and (–)-carvone enantiomers. A novel class of tunable substituted monosaccharide-based eNoses is envisioned.
