Leveraging single-cell sequencing, this study presents the first cell-resolved molecular map of human scalp aging, revealing that the core mechanism of early senescence involves a significant weakening of BMP/ncWNT signaling, coupled with the activation of the AP-1 complex in keratinocytes and upregulation of DCT in melanocytes.
