ABA activates ABI4-dependent RBOHD transcription, leading to ROS production. ROS in turn induce sulfenylation of ABI4 at Cys250, enhancing its DNA-binding and transcriptional activity. This positive feedback loop amplifies ROS signaling, promoting stomatal closure and drought tolerance.
