Black ghost knifefish and bio-inspired undulating fin model

The black ghost knifefish (top) uses its elongated anal fin to generate traveling waves for highly maneuverable swimming. The bio-inspired undulating fin model (bottom) mimics this propulsion mechanism to enhance underwater robot performance.
