Anion-flux–guided interfacial design for stable lithium metal deposition. Schematic illustration of a metallic polymeric metal phthalocyanine (MTP) layer conformally coated on a carbon cloth current collector (MTP@CC). The two-dimensional MTP framework provides strong anion affinity at the M–N₄ sites, promoting directional anion flux and the formation of LiF-rich solid electrolyte interphases, while lithiophilic triethylene glycol (TEG) linkers facilitate rapid Li⁺ transport. Together, these effects enable uniform and dense lithium plating, delivering the highest Coulombic efficiency and superior cycling stability.
