Fiber Captures Plane's Flight Details (IMAGE)

As the single-engine Cessna 172 took off, the team took the opportunity to record several videos that were later used to relate aircraft maneuvers with seismo-acoustic data. Their surface-draped fiber optic cable lies parallel to the taxiway (green fiber). Approximately 4 m to the left (off image), a seismic station was buried by the research team. This image is a screenshot from one recorded video.
