Improved Superconduting Transition in Nickelate thin films (IMAGE)
Caption
(a-b) Using a novel growth method (GAE) that operates at extreme temperatures and oxidation levels , researchers synthesized high-quality (La,Pr)3Ni2O7 bilayer films. (c-e) These films achieved a record-breaking superconducting onset temperature of 63 K at ambient pressure. The data reveals a direct link between this high-temperature state and “strange-metal” behavior, providing a new platform for understanding unconventional superconductivity.
