Noninvasive BCIs decode user intent from neural activity to enable control of external robotic systems. Shared autonomy is achieved by integrating decoded human intent with robotic intelligence. Continued advances in neural decoding algorithms and human–machine intelligence are expected to further enhance BCI-based robotic systems.
