Heidi Vanden Brink, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition, is among women’s reproductive health researchers who believe changing the name to Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, PMOS, could help patients. Her lab focuses on the intersection of nutrition, metabolism, and female adolescent reproductive physiology. Studies at the lab are aimed at preventing reproductive and metabolic conditions like PMOS.
