Brain MRI showing demyelinating lesion near the trigeminal nerve and absence of neurovascular compression (IMAGE)
Caption
Preoperative MRI images from the reported case show the right trigeminal nerve without evidence of neurovascular compression (left) and a demyelinating brainstem lesion extending toward the trigeminal root entry zone (right). These findings helped guide the novel salvage surgical approach for treatment-resistant multiple sclerosis-related trigeminal neuralgia.
