Time-lapse optical microscopy captures the dynamic formation of a liquid–liquid phase-separated coacervate interface. Micro-coacervates spontaneously emerge, undergo budding and fusion, assemble into hierarchical coacervate structures, and eventually form a single giant micro-coacervate, illustrating active boundary remodeling during phase separation.
