The schematic illustrates how coronaviruses recruit Golgi-derived membranes for DMV formation via the GBF1-ARF1-COPI vesicle transport pathway. Disruption of this pathway with the GBF1 inhibitor GCA impairs DMV formation and suppresses viral replication.
