PFAS contamination in commercial pet foods (IMAGE)
Caption
Commercial dog and cat foods, including dry and wet products, were analyzed for 34 PFAS. Products containing fish-derived ingredients tended to show higher PFAS concentrations, with PFOS, PFUnDA, and PFTrDA being notable compounds. These results indicate that pet food can be one dietary PFAS exposure source for companion animals.
