Flexible electrodes map nanoplastic-induced oxidative stress in 3D cortical organoids (IMAGE)
Caption
A flexible electrochemical sensor based on platinum nanoparticle-modified carbon nanotube fiber enables in situ monitoring of H2O2 within human cortical organoids exposed to nanoplastics. By tuning the active sensing length of the electrode, the researchers quantified oxidative stress at different depths and found that the oxidative stress signal was mainly localized in the approximately 100-μm-deep region where most nanoplastics accumulated.
