Molecular Surface Design Achieves Over 100 Millionfold Tuning of Porous Liquid Viscosity - Image 1 (IMAGE)
Caption
Schematic illustration of solvent-free porous liquids composed of metal-organic polyhedra (MOPs) and 12 polymer chains. Surface groups regulate polymer-chain conformation, driving the chains to either compact on the MOP surface or extend into neighboring MOPs, producing low- or high-viscosity liquids while preserving the MOP porosity.
