Sociality in toad tadpoles (IMAGE)
Caption
Movement of subject tadpoles (reared in groups, N = 47; reared in solitary, N = 43) were tracked for 60 min and were compared for the time spent in each zone: "sibling," "non-sibling," and "neutral" zones. The proportion of time spent in the "neutral" was significantly longer for tadpoles reared in solitary conditions than for those reared in groups (t = 3.155, p = 0.002).
