Pilot study on intermittent fasting (IMAGE)
Caption
Russell Wells, a fourth-year OHSU medical student, guides Anna White, a participant with Huntington’s disease, through coordination exercises as part of a pilot study examining time-restricted eating. Led by Wells and Amie Hiller, M.D., the study is evaluating whether limiting food intake to an eight-hour daily window can improve symptoms and underlying disease processes associated with the neurodegenerative disorder.
