How unequal lifetimes make photonic transport directional (IMAGE)
Caption
The concept of nonreciprocal dynamic degeneracy splitting. At the same real excitation frequency, opposite momentum channels can have unequal lifetimes. Long-lived channels remain available for transmission, while short-lived channels are dynamically filtered, enabling directional transport and imaging.
