Human dental pulp stem cell secretome in post-stroke functional recovery (IMAGE)
Caption
Researchers analyzed the therapeutic effect of human dental pulp stem cell (hDPSC) secretome in functional recovery after ischemic stroke. The study found that hDPSC secretomes are rich in antioxidant-associated proteins, which reprogram redox and inflammatory signals, resulting in robust functional recovery in a photothrombotic mouse model of ischemic stroke. The findings suggest that secretome therapies could complement current stroke care and other neurodegenerative diseases in the future.
