Thin-film lithium niobate integrated photonic receiver enables high-resolution dual-band radar

Schematic of the proposed thin-film lithium niobate integrated photonic receiver for dual-band radar. The chip integrates electro-optic modulation and interference filtering to simultaneously enable on-chip optical-domain de-chirping and microwave demultiplexing, followed by coherent fusion of the dual-band signals to synthesize an equivalent wideband signal for high-resolution radar sensing.
