Panel b shows the potential source regions of the air masses associated with the highest mPOA concentrations, derived from five years of measurements; the reddish colour scale indicates higher probability, and the brown marker indicates the location of Mace Head. The remaining panels show the monthly variation in mPOA concentration, the dry particle number size distributions, the cloud condensation nuclei activation ratio, the percentage contribution of chemical species, and the hygroscopic growth factor probability density function used to identify mPOA.
