Optimizing lipid nanoparticles for local mRNA delivery

Researchers used a statistical approach called design of experiments (DOE) to systematically refine the composition of lipid nanoparticles carrying mRNA. The resulting formulation, SM102M, enhances local expression while reducing liver accumulation in mice, offering a strategy for more selective local mRNA delivery.
