7-OH and kratom products (IMAGE)
Caption
Pills containing 7-OH and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl, and capsules containing leaf kratom, purchased in Michigan in early 2026. Under the scheduling decisions announced by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, the pills became illegal nationwide in late August because of their mitragynine pseudoindoxyl content; some states and municipalities have regulated or banned leaf kratom products while others have not and the DEA scheduling that takes effect November 13 does not pertain to leaf kratom.
