Disease outbreak simulations reveal influence of “seeding” by multiple infected people

Epidemic epicenter analysis. For each origin of each country we check the corrected R-squared R* correlation of mobility and destinations incidence peaks. Darker areas represent those where most probably the spread was originated from. Administrative boundary data were obtained from GADM for Italy and Spain (https://gadm.org), and from EuroStat (https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat) for the rest of countries.
