From the pharmaceutical industry to pesticides and construction materials, man-made materials are indispensable in many areas of our lives, their production requires long and time-consuming chemical transformations. A new, more environmentally friendly method from chemists of Diagnostics and Therapy Excellence Programme and Institute of Chemistry at Eötvös Loránd University speeds up some of these complex processes, according to a paper published in Nature Catalysis.
