Two ideas were adopted to optimize and improve the existing DGB parachute structure. One is to increase the drag coefficient. The disk part is thus modified to a structure with a higher drag coefficient, such as the hemisflo parachute structure and the triconical parachute structure. The other is to enlarge the band’s area to increase the parachute’s stability, such as adding a tapered band on the lower skirt of the canopy. The specific parachute structures are shown in the Figure.
