A member of the team snorkeling at low tide to sample the seawater in each chamber (there is a carabiner of sampling syringes around his arm) and to temporarily insert guillotine style doors in order to seal the chamber for 2 hours in order to measure the corals rates of calcification/dissolution and photosynthesis/respiration.
