Fossil Teeth (IMAGE)
Caption
Fossil teeth of an eld's deer (Rucervus eldii) from the Tam Ham Marklot cave's fossil assemblage. This species of deer is still found today in Southeast Asia, and Laos specifically. The area that was sampled for zinc isotope analyses, a long vertical groove, can be seen on the central teeth's cone.
