a. Disparities in recreational physical activity based on income. Compared to households with an annual adjusted relative income of over 5.5 million yen, there is a disparity of 0.58 for households with an equivalent income under 1.375 million yen per annum (1.72 times lower). b. Disparities in occupational physical activity based on educational level: There was a large difference (1.90) for those with a ‘high school or less’ educational background compared to those with a ‘university or more’ educational background.
