IIT AND INAIL: NEW PROTOTYPE EXOSKELETONS FOR WORKERS IN THE FUTURE (VIDEO)

Researchers in Italy at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and INAIL are working on new concepts of wearable robotic exoskeletons for the reduction of the risks of work-related injuries. The prototypes, XoTrunk, XoShoulder and XoElbow can provide reductions in physical effort of up to 40% for male and female workers in industrial settings. Researchers plan to have versions ready for market launch in the next years.
