COVID-19 mitigation policies that limited opportunities for leisure physical activity negatively affected the mental health and well-being of some people with disabilities, according to an online survey of more than 950 people with various types of disabilities. The research team included, from left, Jon Welty Peachey, Jules Woolf and Mikihiro Sato, all professors of recreation, sport and tourism at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
