Lewis glycans promote TRAIL-induced cancer cell death

Cancer cells highly expressing Lewis glycans on glycolipids are vulnerable to the death-inducing cytokine, TRAIL. Measurement of Lewis glycans on cancer cells could be a better predictive marker for the TRAIL therapy.
