A new method for foam stabilization in foam-type disinfectants with high ethanol concentrations.

In a new study, scientists from Japan combined an anionic surfactant, long-chain alcohols, and an inorganic electrolyte to enhance the foam stability in disinfectants with high concentration of ethanol. Their strategy can help formulate hand sanitizers with optimized foam stability.
