Catalyzing oxygen electrochemical reactions in zinc–air batteries (IMAGE)
Caption
Scientists from Beijing Institute of Technology, Tsinghua University and Harbin Normal University proposed a strategy of composing atomic transition metal sites to promote sluggish electrochemical reactions — oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) — to achieve high-rate, high-capacity and long-cycling rechargeable zinc–air batteries for practical applications.
