Melody Lindsay in the lab (IMAGE)
Caption
Postdoctoral Scientist Melody Lindsay processes seawater samples to analyze the oxygen consumption mediated by microbial life. Lindsay is part of a recent study published in Nature that suggests a small fraction of microorganisms in the ocean are responsible for most of the consumption of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide there.
