The Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation (TIBI) has developed thermoresponsive shear-thinning hydrogel (T-STH) hemostats for minimally invasive treatment of external hemorrhages

The Terasaki Institute’s temperature sensitive shear-thinning hydrogel can be used for rapid, effective treatment of patients with acute bleeding injuries. Once the patient is stabilized, the hydrogel can easily be removed with a cold saline wash.
