TUS-64: a 3D, non-interpenetrated covalent organic framework (COF) as a drug nanocarrier vehicle. (IMAGE)
Caption
TUS scientists have synthesized a novel 3D COF, TUS-64, with the largest recorded pore size by combining a 6-linked triptycene linker and a 4-linked porphyrin linker. With a stable and highly interconnected structure, TUS-64 enables efficient drug storage and their controlled release.
