Photoacoustic images produced using unknown speckle patterns (IMAGE)
Caption
(A to C) Photographs of three samples obtained with a conventional transmission microscope. (D to F) Corresponding objects reconstructed from photoacoustic measurements obtained by scanning unknown speckle patterns over the sample hidden behind a diffuser, with use of the optical memory effect. Scale bars, 25 micrometers. Images D to F are believed to be the first obtained in such a manner.
